Edgewater, NJ - June 2008

Our trip to nowhere....

Edgewater, New Jersey is not your usual travel destination and its not ours either. Actually, it is the town next to ours. We were fortunate that our house sold faster than anticipated, and we found a new house fairly quickly, but the closing dates on the houses did not sync up. So, to bridge the month gap between homes, we decided to stay at the Homewood Suites in Edgewater, NJ. Thoughts of hopping across a continent or two crossed our minds, but due to work obligations we stayed "home."

Elliot was a good sport about the situation and called it our "Home-tel".

Homewood Suites markets it self as "your home away from home" and by the end of our month there we really started to feel like home. Housekeeping kept our room clean every day, no condo maintenance fees, free utilities and free breakfast waiting downstairs every morning is easy to get used to. If we had a full compliment of cable TV channels we would have considered postponing home ownership a little longer. If you should find yourself looking for a hotel in Edgewater, NJ, we would definitely recommend this hotel as it is very well run and the staff is great.
